At Gallalock we stock Citroen car keys for many different models and we are specialists in programming Citroen transponder keys, so if you have experienced problems with your key, our locksmiths can help. Transponder keys are typically found in Citroen models produced from 1995. Transponder keys contain a micro-chip which transmits a signal to the engine when you insert it into the ignition. If the signal is recognised by the car engine, it will allow you to start the car. If, however, the signal is not received by the engine, the engine will be temporarily disabled and unable to start. Therefore, if you need a new key for your Citroen, it has to be cut and programmed correctly to work with your car.
Please note: to program your new Citroen car key, we need a 4-digit pin code that is normally provided with your car when you purchase it. If you do not have the pin code, please contact your dealership and they should be able to help you to retrieve the code. Provision of the Pin Code is necessary in order to program your key.
